Dear Supporters:
We are all disappointed with the decision of the Board of Elections. The Board room was packed with Norwood supporters from all parts of the City and County.
Despite delivering 13 books of petitions containing over 30,000 signatures, the Board did not render a favorable decision. I am talking with my legal counsel – Matt Maguire of Balch & Bingham, and as soon as we have made a final decision on a course of action, I will let each of you know. In the meantime, I want you to know how very much I appreciate every one of you who signed a petition, circulated a petition, came by headquarters, volunteered, or made a financial contribution.
Together, we accomplished what no one said could be done--in less than three months, we brought together over 30,000 individuals in Fulton County who want change; who want the option of another choice on the ballot in November. I will continue to work to see how we may still be able to make that happen. You’re important; you matter; and I want to continue to be someone who serves YOU and makes our government work for YOU again!
Thank you again for your support for this short--intense--and incredibly difficult campaign of an independent outside the system – trying to serve you.
With much appreciation,

Mary
